“JUST FUCKING DIE ALREADY!”

“I hate it when I wake up and he’s [Trump] not dead yet.”

“I don’t want to READ the obituary. I just want there to BE an obituary [for Trump].”

“Call me when it [Trump’s death] happens.”

“I feel like we need a new national holiday. Date TBD by his [Trump] obituary, of course.”

“8647 8647 8647 8647 8647 8647”

“May this birthday [McConnell] be the last.”

“So is Mitch McConnell dead? Asking for the people with an extra bottle of champagne chilling?”

“Kristy [Janigo], I’m so happy to call you my friend. I am honored to know you will be my state senator.”

— The Politics Chicks

These posts come from The Politics Chicks, a political social-media page and podcast whose hosts have publicly supported and endorsed Kristy Janigo.

Kristy Janigo’s Relationship With The Politics Chicks

Kristy Janigo has worked hard to rebrand herself from a crazy protestor on the Maple Grove DEI task-force into a supposedly “moderate Democrat.” But the company she keeps tells a different story.

Like many aspiring political influencers, Janigo has sought out larger platforms to build her profile. She has repeatedly appeared with The Politics Chicks, a left-wing podcast and social-media operation run by Monica Healy and Christy Branham local to Janigo in Maple Grove. The Politics Chicks have built a sizable online following through attention-grabbing political content, protests, videos, songs, and other social-media activism. They describe their own operation as a growing political-media platform and have said it now reaches hundreds of thousands of followers.

But mixed in with the costumes, protest stunts, influencer-style content, and songs about “fighting fascism” is a much darker strain of political rhetoric. Their social-media posts have repeatedly joked about, celebrated, or expressed anticipation for the deaths of prominent Republicans.

And Janigo has not kept her distance from them. She has called them friends, appeared on their podcast, campaigned with them, and accepted their endorsement. As recently as September 30, The Politics Chicks again hosted Janigo for a lengthy campaign interview while prominently disclosing that they had endorsed her.

Wishing Death Upon President Trump

The Politics Chicks have repeatedly posted about wanting President Trump dead.

These are not anonymous commenters or random activists with no connection to Janigo. They are her friends, political supporters, podcast hosts, and endorsers.

Janigo has continued appearing with The Politics Chicks and accepting their political support even as their social media has featured repeated posts about Trump’s death. The screenshots speak for themselves.

Wishing Death Upon Mitch McConnell

President Trump is not the only Republican whose death The Politics Chicks have openly discussed.

They have repeatedly posted about former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell dying, including joking about celebrating his death and hoping one of his birthdays would be his last.

Yet Janigo continues to publicly associate with The Politics Chicks and accept their support.

Wishing Death Upon Rudy Giuliani

The Politics Chicks brought the same rhetoric to former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

When Giuliani was reportedly in critical condition, they used the occasion to mock his condition rather than simply wishing him well.

Once again, this is the political organization that has endorsed Kristy Janigo, hosted her campaign appearances, and continues to give her a platform.

Attacking Charlie Kirk Immediately After His Assassination

The Politics Chicks’ political hostility did not stop with elected officials.

Immediately after Charlie Kirk’s assassination, the group used its platform to attack Kirk and his political views.

Whatever Janigo personally thinks about those posts, she has continued associating with The Politics Chicks politically and publicly. Their relationship did not end with these statements: the group has continued promoting Janigo and hosting her campaign.

Cutting Off Republican Family Members

The Politics Chicks have also encouraged their followers to cut Republican family members out of their lives.

They have publicly discussed refusing to attend family gatherings with relatives they politically disagree with and encouraged followers to uninvite Republican relatives from Thanksgiving.

These are not merely people Janigo happened to encounter once. They are political allies who have endorsed her, hosted her, and whom Janigo herself has publicly described as friends.

Ashamed of America

The Politics Chicks have even publicly declared themselves “ashamed to be an American.”

In another episode, they attacked a local realtor for placing American flags around a Maple Grove neighborhood and posted the realtor’s business and contact information to their large social-media audience.

Janigo presents herself publicly as a moderate and a veteran, but she has continued to embrace a political relationship with a group posting rhetoric like this.

The Politics Chicks have repeatedly posted about Republican leaders dying, attacked Charlie Kirk immediately after his assassination, encouraged people to cut Republican relatives out of their lives, and publicly declared themselves ashamed to be American.

Through it all, Janigo has continued appearing with them, accepting their endorsement, and publicly treating them as political allies and friends.

We Do Not Need More Political Violence

Janigo has expressly endorsed these politics of violence. In Minnesota, we know all too well the results of this rhetoric and assassination culture.

Kristy Janigo’s friendship and association with such adamant proponents of hatred and divisiveness is absolutely disqualifying. Worst yet, it seems she even agrees with them.
