Senator Grant Hauschild (DFL-Hermantown) took to X last year, posting a news article about his fundraising and saying, "It shows in the grassroots donations we've received from voters in the Northland..."

An in-depth analysis of his public Campaign Finance Report demonstrated anything but local grassroots support.
Grant Hauschild was born and raised in North Dakota. He worked for Barack Obama's 2012 presidential campaign. Then, Hauschild was an unsuccessful candidate for the North Dakota House in 2016. Hauschild moved to Minnesota in 2019 to carpetbag and run for office again. He figured it would be easier to get elected in Minnesota after being rejected for his extremism in North Dakota.
Grant's out-of-state ties and disregard for the community are apparent in his fundraising.
In total, Grant boasts raising $42,975 in 2024. A breakdown reveals that 35% came from outside the district. An additional 23% came from other DFL committees and 16% came from UNDISCLOSED sources.
ONLY 26% OF HIS DISCLOSED CONTRIBUTIONS CAME FROM THE DISTRICT HE REPRESENTS.
From Grant's 2024 financial report:

NOW, he's released his 2025 fundraising report. Almost unbelievably, his community support has dwindled even further. A whopping 53% of Grant's 2025 donations came from outside his district. Most of the remaining funds came from lobbyists, special interests, and political parties.
% In district | 13.35% |
% Out of District | 53.43% |
% Lobbyists | 4.76% |
% Special Interest | 7.81% |
% Political Party | 5.17% |
% Unknown | 15.48% |

Don’t let Corrupt Grant Hauschild buy his next election.
